Chicago: Marina City, Bertrand Goldberg, 1964
One thing that I love about Mid-Century design is the accompanying optimism….the George Jetson, what-amazing-things-the-future-will-bring-us mentality. Marina City, completed in 1964, at the time the worlds largest reinforced concrete structure was accessible by car, boat and foot and launched Goldberg into international legend as an architect.
